2022 Grant Recipients

In 2022, we awarded over $22,000 in grants to thirteen organizations doing great work close to home. Thank you to all who applied for a grant and thank you to those who donated to the foundation!


($2,000) Aeon supports the basic need for long-term, stable housing for more than 17,000 residents annually. The funds will be used to improve outdoor community spaces at Seasons Park.


($2,000) Assistance League is dedicated to improving the lives of children and families in the Twin Cities. This funding will support basic needs for Richfield students, like school supplies, winter clothes or toiletries.


($2,000) Children’s Dental Service provides dental services to low-income families in Richfield. The funding will be used to expand comprehensive dental services to children and families in our community.

($1,050) Cornerstone’s Emergency Services Program serves adults and families in imminent danger as a result of domestic violence, sexual violence and/or human trafficking. This funding will be used to purchase a bunk bed set for an apartment unit in Cornerstone’s emergency shelter.


($1,000) Crossroads Panorama is a theater group that reaches out to youth and young adults for community building through theater. The funds will support the new Storytelling Project.


($2,000) Loaves and Fishes provides healthy meals to Minnesotans. This funding will support operating costs with meals served at the two community meal sites.


($1,000) Meals on Wheels provides low-cost nutritious meals to Richfield residents. This funding will help keep meals affordable during a time of rising costs.


($1,000) PennFest is an annual community gathering held in Richfield in September. It brings people together for a day of celebration and recreation. 


($2,000) People With Capes was created to serve the needs of the people of the City of Richfield. This funding will support the monthly mentorship and community-building meeting called Parent Share that is designed to create a safe place for parents of school-age kids to share, learn, and grow.


($2,000) Portico was created to respond to the growing number of low-income community members that couldn’t afford the cost of health insurance and didn’t qualify for government health programs. This funding will be used to provide health insurance enrollment services to Richfield families.

($2,000) Senior Community Services supports Richfield seniors maintain their independence by helping with chores and empowering families through coaching, consultation and technology training.


($2,000) VEAP  provides a food shelf that serves Richfield  residents. The funding will be used to purchase food and provide basic needs support - such as housing advocacy, financial assistance and transportation


($1,995) The Woodlake Nature Center has been a vital part of Richfield for 50 years. The funds will be used to purchase kick sleds - a new activity and experience to encourage the community to explore and enjoy winter.
