The Richfield Foundation focuses on outreaches with a mission objective of successful kids, secure families and a strong community. The Foundation has selected the following non-profits as 2012 grant recipients:
Cornerstone - an agency serving domestic abuse victims
Dedicated purpose for grant: Translate written materials into Spanish to better serve clients. Grant award: $2,000
Fraser - a nonprofit serving youth and adults with special needs
Dedicated purpose for grant: Renovate playground equipment at school. Grant award: $1,000
Loaves and Fishes - a nonprofit serving hot meals to people in need
Dedicated purpose for grant: General operations. Grant award: $2,000
Mira- an agency serving Latino residents
Dedicated purpose for grant: English a second language and computer education. Grant award: $1,500
Oasis for Youth - an agency that provides assistance to homeless youth
Dedicated purpose for grant: General operations. Grant award: $1,000
Richfield Dual Language School - a Richfield Public School serving K-5 students
Dedicated purpose for grant: Purchase books written in Spanish for 4 and 5th graders
Grant award: $1,000
Richfield Environmental Learning Center Fund - a project of the Richfield Middle School
Dedicated purpose for grant: Provide grants to families to defray costs of overnight trip. Grant award: $2,000
Richfield Transitions Program - a project to help students with disabilities
Dedicated purpose for grant: Provide money for CIRCLES program.Grant award: $700
